Paula Taylor is Board Certified Nurse Practitioner qualified to practice in both primary care and psychiatry. Paula can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults. Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) ADHD, Substance use disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder and Insomnia.

Paula’s style of practice can be traditional (prescribing up to date psychiatric medications) or alternative medicine (including but not limited to Ketamine, lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise and stress management). She strongly believes in the body as a whole just as Hippocrates “The Father of Medicine.” Who believed that we are made up as a whole person and not a series of parts (the mind/body/spiritual connection).

Paula began her career as a CNA, continued her studies and became an LPN practicing for 10 years while continuing to obtain her RN. After spending time helping people with their medical and emotional problems, she realized this was her passion. She then decided to continue her education at Monmouth University and received a master’s degree in nursing. She then continued with her graduate studies at Northern Kentucky University and received a Postmasters Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health.

Over the course of six years of medical practice, Paula has had the privilege of working in many practice areas, including psychiatry, primary care internal medicine, Much of her experience has been in adult psych. However, she also has many years of experience working with adolescents. She enjoys working with a variety of age groups.

Paula’s hobbies include music, reading, beach activities, and traveling. Her longtime hobby has always been kickboxing.
